Who are you, and what do you do?

Greetings, fellow data enthusiasts! I'm Arun Pasricha, Lead Data Scientist at StatusNEO with a twist. With over seven years of experience under my belt. I'm a certified Microsoft Certified Professional ( MCP ) , Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate ( MCSA ) and Google Power Searching by Google, and many more.

I started my journey in data science after completing my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering from the renowned Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET), Longowal, Punjab. After completing my degree, I landed a job at TCS Research Labs through campus placement, where I worked on various projects involving cutting-edge technologies.

I then worked as a Sr. Engineer - Machine Learning at Tech Mahindra, where I honed my skills and gained valuable industry experience. Next up, I worked as a Data Scientist at Ericsson Global, where I played a key role in developing innovative solutions using big data and machine learning.

I've always been passionate about exploring the frontiers of technology, which led me to pursue my Master's degree in Technology at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur. During my postgraduate studies, I specialized in Augmented and Virtual Reality, which further fuelled my passion for exploring new technologies.

Parallelly doing corporate trainings in data science, I have had the pleasure of working with many eager students who are passionate about learning. I take pride in working with marginal students who are enthusiastic about coding and data science, and I find it incredibly rewarding to help them reach their full potential.

I conduct training sessions on various topics, including Python , Machine Learning and Data Science. My goal is to help aspiring data scientists to develop their skills and achieve their goals. My training sessions are designed to be engaging and interactive, so you can be sure that you'll enjoy the learning process as much as the knowledge itself!

I'm also a Certified Professional Life Coach, Certified NLP Practitioner, and Certified Emotional Coach and Certified Meditation Coach & Facilitator by Transformation Academy USA.

I love helping people, and my passion for coaching led me to pursue these additional certifications. As a life coach, I have a deep understanding of the human psyche and am able to work with individuals to identify their goals, overcome their limiting beliefs, and create an action plan to achieve their dreams.

I specialize in counselling people who are dealing with depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues. I believe that everyone deserves to be happy, and I'm here to help individuals work through their struggles and find inner peace and contentment.

My extensive experience in data science and coaching has given me a unique perspective on how data can be used to understand human behaviour and emotions. I leverage this expertise to create data-driven coaching programs that help individuals make better decisions and achieve their goals.

What hardware(tools) and software do you use?

I am currently using Mac Book Pro 14 laptop and iPhone 12 mobile. I also use Canva for creating the presentations and posters when required. Apart from this I use Github repository for storing and sharing code. For wrangling data I use Python and SQL for creating and running queries. For Deep Learning and Machine Learning I use Google Colab and GCP . I have also tried my hands on visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau.

What would be your dream/dream setup?

As a data scientist and a certified life coach, my dream setup would be to become the CTO of an emerging unicorn or create one myself. I believe that my experience in data science and coaching can be used to build a company that is both innovative and empathetic.

My ideal setup would be a company that uses data to drive decision-making, but also places a strong emphasis on employee well-being and mental health. I believe that a healthy and happy team is essential for success, and I would prioritize creating a positive work culture where everyone feels valued and supported.

In terms of technology, I would focus on emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and virtual and augmented reality. These technologies have the potential to revolutionize many industries, and I believe that by combining them with a people-focused approach, we can create something truly special.

If I were to create my own unicorn, I would ensure that it is a socially responsible company that gives back to the community and supports important causes. In addition to using data for business success, I would also explore how we can leverage data to make a positive impact on society.

Ultimately, my dream setup is one that is driven by innovation, empathy, and a commitment to making the world a better place. I am excited to see what the future holds and am open to any opportunities that come my way. Who knows, maybe the next unicorn will be created by yours truly!
