Who are you, and what do you do?

Hi, my name is Narmin Kerim and im 30 years old artist from Baku, Azerbaijan. I'm photographer, also writer and taking my first steps in cinematography.

As long as I can remember, I've always loved art. Since childhood, I have been constantly sculpting something, drawing.. Though I graduated from international relations, creativity always attracted me and later became an integral part of my life.. I am not only engaged in photography, also have an interest in cinematography, in my free times I write poems, short stories, this is already a part of me..

I've been doing photography for several years, I've shot a lot, but stopped at portraits and everyday photography, also love shooting the film, you know, grainy photos with specific colors, blurred, spontaneous, the real ones.. I love to travel and create photo projects during my trips.. Life is unique and it is important to find a balance in all of this.. For me, creativity is one of the ways to find harmony, to capture the beautiful, moments like precious particles of our memories..

Cinema for me is another way of self-expression, an attempt to find, study, show life. I have already participated in several sets, but must admit, get so tired, cause I need to work more there, and for me, accustomed to a free schedule, its a way more difficult. But the filming process itself is very interesting, I liked it..

And of course, writing is my particle, I do it for the rest of my time..When I need to express myself, my thoughts, this is the fastest and most effective way..I sit down and scribble a couple of lines.. As a rule, I mix photography with writing, make videos, because all of them are bonded..

What hardware(tools) and software do you use?

My first camera was Nikon d 3300, and I still using it. But also I like Fuji series cameras and Leica. And also big cinema cameras, and you know the ones that Godard was recording his movies, they looks so cute.. I editing my photos on Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1 and also Photoshop..

What would be your dream/dream setup?

In the future, I would like to have a studio, such a bright room that will be completely my corner, reflecting my mood, and where I could create.. and also a photo studio where people would be comfortable to take pictures and just talk about interesting topics..

Although I took a break from creating and art for personal reasons, but I'm slowly returning to it. And this proves once again that creativity is with you forever, throughout your life.. there are periods of calmness, but sooner or later you're returning back to it.. Being in harmony with life, nature, and creativity is part of that for me..
