Who are you, and what do you do?

Hi there, I'm Rajdeep, a frontend developer who fell in love with coding when he found JavaScript. And I knew that I have found my true calling in frontend development when I discovered React, and boy oh boy, it was a game-changer!

It's been four years since I turned my passion into my profession, and I gotta say, it's been one heck of a ride. It's amazing to wake up each day and do what I love.

What hardware(tools) and software do you use?

Currently, I'm getting my work done with a Macbook Air with an M1 chip, which I've paired with a 27-inch monitor for some extra screen real estate. And speaking of boosting productivity, there are two apps that I absolutely swear by - Raycast and Todoist. Raycast is a Mac spotlight search on steroids and Todoist makes it really simple to manage my tasks.

As for my work environment, I like to keep things simple. I use VSCode as my IDE and Chrome as my browser with some useful extensions like Unhook for YouTube(Yes, I used to waste a lot of time on Youtube :P), and Todoist. Additionally, I use the Notes app on my Mac to jot down any ideas, and it syncs seamlessly with my iPhone. While I often work in complete silence, I sometimes switch things up and put on some white noise music to help me focus.

What would be your dream/dream setup?

Well, I'm not someone who needs a lot of fancy gadgets to get my work done, but if I could have my dream setup, I'd definitely want to try out the Meta VR headset for coding. Imagine being able to code in a virtual environment with 3 monitors, all in 3D space(as shown by MKBHD in this video :D). That would be so cool.
