Sai Krishna Dubagunta
Interviewed on April 17, 2023 in Software Engineer Photographer
Who are you, and what do you do?
My name is Sai Krishna, and people call me KD. I help tech companies build their software in exchange for money and use the money I earn to create my photography portfolio.
My proficiency in developing software is varied. You can reach out to me to build your idea into a bare-bones application, come to me for a review of its user experience, or have me create your client-side application that renders on client, server, or hybrid.
You might have a wall in your house, rented or owned, that seems plain. I can help you decorate it with my photography. I sell my work at a fair price; some have gone to exhibitions worldwide. I also provide framing options and advise you on frames matching the house. You can request prints from my website. You can find me on LinkedIn and Instagram
PS: My website is my portfolio for website development and photography.
What hardware(tools) and software do you use?
You could call me an Apple fanboy, and I won't take offense to it. I strongly support Macbooks since they're blisteringly fast and sleek and use almost all Apple products, so that's the hardware I use.
I'm agnostic towards the software I develop my projects in, to an extent ( I hate coding with Java or C#, my bad). I've recently dipped my foot into NextJS and use Angular at work. I built some software with Ruby and Golang in previous companies and projects.
My photography has needed me to purchase a lot of hardware, so here's a list of those things, Fujifilm X-H2, Hasselblad 500C/M, and Canon Ae-1 Programme. My glasses are mainly from Fuji, Hasselblad, and Canon, so quality is never an issue. I use Fuji 70mm-300mm telephoto zoom, 10mm-24mm ultra-wide-angle zoom, a 33mm prime, a Hasselblad 80mm prime, a 250mm prime, a Canon 35mm prime, 70mm-300mm telephoto zoom.
(links for other lenses are difficult to get, eBay would be your best bet to buy those and ship from Japan)
What would be your dream/dream setup?
I want a wall-size screen to adjust the colors and patterns based on time and activity. I'd like to have wall-mounted monitors and wall-mounted CPU components with low latency and a vinyl player from Pro-ject underneath it. I want to sit across the room to have a safe distance not to affect my eyes.
