Who are you, and what do you do?

Hello, I am Tushar Gupta and I am a Data Engineer by profession.

In my free time, I enjoy indulging in my passions of food, travel, hiking, adventure sports and of course, coding. I am always looking for new and exciting experiences, whether it's trying new cuisines or exploring new hiking trails.

What hardware(tools) and software do you use?

As a Data Engineer, I specialize in utilizing a wide range of tools and technologies to effectively manage, analyze, and extract value from large datasets.

I extensively use Amazon Web Services (AWS) data engineering related services such as Redshift, RDS, S3, Snowflake and PySpark, Glue to store, process and analyze data in the cloud. Additionally, I am proficient in shell scripting to automatic tasks and manage multiple system efficiently.My go to code editor is Visual Studio code, GIT for version control and Terraform for infrastructure as code, these are some of the key tools that I use on a regular basis to support my data engineering workflows.

What would be your dream/dream setup?

A powerful workstation or laptop with a high and processor plenty of RAM and a large solid state drive

Multiple monitors to increase productivity and enable multitasking

High speed internet and cloud services such as AWS, GCP, Azure etc.

Good backup and disaster recovery plan

And a unique addition would be a portable workstation that can be set up in beautiful mountain locations to take advantage of the natural scenery and peaceful surrounding while getting work done
